@The-bestest-uberfish Union is separate topic but generative AI has been part of professional CGI teams’ workflow for little over a year now and ppl are using it for product/advertisement design as well — and this is only what I saw in person. If it improves efficiency, companies/studios will adopt it because that’s how capitalism works. They are not worried about copyright bc they’ve the resource to bring things to court — imaging suing Netflix because they’ve used AI generated texture in their CGI shots. Now imagine an individual without all the legal resources doing it, or indie game dev. A thorough and nuanced AI copyright framework helps little guys… big guys, they’re already using AI.
