Honestly the worst thing is, I think he's a smart guy with his heart in the right place, he's studied industrial labour relations and worked at Palantir... and still, that's the best he can come up with.
Maybe this is just the best we can come up with. Not out of malice, but because of a super hard problem and lack of our capability to solve it. Maybe AI can come up with a better idea, but it doesn't currently seem capable of doing better than delivering humanity's ideas back to us. Great if you're an individual struggling with a problem, but when we're dealing with civilisational problems without a blueprint... this is where the difference between LLMs and genuine creative intelligence becomes critical.
