@Amara-s4cwhere did you pull that from? with how normalized the usage of ai chatbots are, i would think it’s within the right pass blame also on to the bot. someone living in an unhealthy environment w underlying mental health issues (which i would also like to add: children cannot be diagnosed bc their brains are still developing) /is/ someone more prone to reach out to this form of unsupportive support. as the og commenter said it is killing (see: the video we are watching), is detrimental towards one’s mental health (relying & bonding w something nonexistent), induces psychosis (in their reality, the person wholeheartedly believes in the existence of the made up person) & is killing the therapy field (seeking mental professional health from another untrained, unlicensed bot who will never push for the user to self reflect, authentically heal, & cannot adequately diagnose should the person require a psychiatrist).
