It's also an entirely false argument. AI models are rapidly becoming more energy efficient, not less. And companies are driven to do so, to make their models cheaper to run, and so they can run on mobile devices. Saw someone else make a good point here, that relates to why she's making this argument about AI.. People criticize Cryptocurrency for wasting energy, and think AI is the same deal, or she's trying to make them seem the same.. However, for crypto mining, the difficulty and energy requirement is the whole point, so people can't mine too much too quickly. AI has no such motivation behind it's energy usage.
