@matheus5230 I agree with most of what you said. Still, there are 2 problems:
1. I think the problem most artists have is that they don't just want to make art, they want to get paid for it. AI doesn't need to make perfect art, just art that is "good enough" for corporations to use it instead of humans. I think in the next 20 years we should expect to see 90% of modern artistic *professions* be replaced by AI because it is so much cheaper. Artists will still be able to make things, just most of them won't get paid.
2. You didn't really address my question though: Do you think AI art as it is currently being done is theft? If I train my AI on images of art from the internet, do I owe those artists royalties? Should artists have the ability to opt-in or out? In my opinion, both are false. I don't think you can make a good distinction between an artist taking inspiration from a drawing they found online to an AI doing so. The only real difference is the scale, but why should scale matter?
