As for "State Gun Confiscation", our government is banning Semi-automatic weapons that, frankly, most New Zelanders assumed were illegal. It's not like we are enacting draconian restrictions; guns for hunting, farmers (bolt-actions etc.) will still be legal. I think you'll find few New Zelanders oppose these laws.
