It was to be expected. They justified new investment to shareholders promising them productivity gains from AI. The bill came due last year, so obviously rather than firing the leaders who committed unrealistic returns, like any normal conglomerate they fired the developers. Now that it has predictably failed, they will find some scape goats and rehire the developers
