It's not awful if you know how to set up an AI agent to do a specific job. There are a lot of advantages e.g. it saves time with mundane tasks by automating it. But yes there are serious risks involved, how do you know its not going to uninstall programs and run wild on your pc. Look at what openclaw did. Being a professor of "science and techonology" has 0 weight in this matter. Its knowing how to use it that matters and producing good outcomes.
