Sounds like a good legal challenge I would love to take, forcing students to use a Google product knowing how Google violates privacy rights and that may capture your own thoughts and expressions, uploading them to LLMs without your consent is concerning, the student should have choices in the writing medium and tools... You wouldn't tell a student taking a physical test that you may only use a $10 fine tipped black pen made by Pentel instead of a .25 cent Bic pen would you? Same legal theory here and I would love to argue such a case.
