It doesn't always tell you what you want to hear though. You have to work hard to get it to say unambiguously incorrect things in order to please you.
And humans hallucinate, humans lie, humans behave and think irrationally. It's the rule, not the exception. In the US, we're not allowed to question politically sensitive topics. Things are either 'racist' or 'not racist', instead of 'true' or 'false'. Most anti-AI people are exactly like this, driven by ideology instead of reason, then they turn around and say we can't trust AI to be correct.
