"All resources are in the hands of a relative handful of people" is pretty contradictory to the rest of your point. There will be an abundance of everything for everyone if robots can do everything. Some people will still have more social power and land etc, but the point is that poor people of the future will be living better than the rich are today. Furthermore, if AI collapses the economy then the people who were really wealthy won't be able to do anything anymore with the numbers on the computer screen that used to mean something. It seems likely that either there will be global economic collapse, or everyone can have anything they want. These are the more likely scenarios rather than the massive wealth inequality that we have today. Like, even if a scenario of wealth inequality emerges as you suggest, such a system would be wildly unstable due to everone having access to such powerful ai and robots, so it wouldn't stay that way for long.
