I feel this argument has lost its weight. All the leaders of the labs are on record (pre-CEO) admitting real AI existential risk.
Now Elon, Sam, snd Zuck seem to publicly think it’s not true but Demis and Dario have been pretty outspoken, especially as of late. Call me naive, but I just “trust” Demis, he’s a researcher at heart, same with Dario and Mustafa- they all just seem less concerned w the stock price than the others, yet they’re the only ones sounding alarm bells.
