@jopiorienteeringhow were the first versions of tractors bad? Farmers are still manually farming when they use a tractor, a better analogy would be that a tractor is like having a faster CPU that lets you compile code you've written quicker. "AI" generating code is not the same tool as a tractor.
Regardless, his prediction was already wrong (he said it would.happen in 2025), it's always 6 months until "AI" is doing 100% code. LLMs will never do 100% of code, the technology just doesn't work in that way (it only generates text that plausibly looks like code and sometimes works), same as how it's impossible to reach the speed of light
Now, will LLMs be part of some future actual AI system, maybe
