@Dragon Star That’s the crux of the situation, you just said it yourself.
1. You yourself “learned” math. That is the action of putting hours of your life into learning a skill which benefits you possibly in your field. Something which the ML model is not doing. It’s using patterns in it’s parameters, which ironic you bring up math because ChatGPT sucked at math when it first came out apparently.
2. The difference between your random story and the situation I said was that an artist who creates a unique style, with a certain type of technique, no matter how similar to others, still produce Original art usually. With that information in mind, and knowing AI doesn’t actually “know” how to do art, how else would you justify it’s training off art that it’s original creators can’t allow. As I mentioned earlier work seen as shared is different, but why are you so okay with someones work being used without their consent for a model with hasn’t actually learned anything, and is just incredibly good at imitation through pattern recognition?
3. 💀 I honestly am so confused why you’re so adamant to defend an AI, but if you actually believe the morals behind work/labor being stolen is totally fine then I guess you’d be the person to defend it. Slightly wonder your opinion on Elon.
