To that I say: Why let that deter you? Sure, your art is likely to get swept up in the hodgepodge mix that these AI models use, but having thought about it myself, I don't see that really meaning much of anything. After all, if each person's artistic voice is a color, then the AI creates a sea of grey. And in turn, any one person's personal streak of color will still stand out against the grey. The only way I could see it getting really frustrating is if you run into a hall of mirrors effect, where you see your style reflected back at you en masse. Realistically though, that won't ever happen unless you are directly targeted by someone trolling you with it or you get big enough to be one of those names people directly put into their prompts. And even then, those times are fleeting and, by nature of the AI models, always lagging one step behind the original creator. If you simply stay more determined than those lazy copycats, there won't be a doubt as to whose voice is the real one. Also, the physical space exists. Can't be digitally swept up and copied if none of the work was publicly digitized to begin with, though that one relies on you having local connections with people who care about art like you do.
