This is not a good argument at all to a very real problem.
AI is not just threatening to take current jobs, but the future jobs as well.
If AI can replace most jobs, why wouldn't it replace future jobs too? It's not the car replacing horses, this is technology fully replacing humans.
In your argument, people are still going to get hurt and sick, nurses and doctors wouldn't get replaced by a pill that cures 99% illness, but there is an actual chance they'll get replaced by robots and AI that don't need to be paid
