AI does not "learn" from art, it is _created_ using said art. Midjourney is a result of processing billions of images into dataset wich then is turned into a brain for the AI, not a result of robot looking at billions of images and memorizing them by itself. So it isn't artists opposing robots from looking at their pictures, they're opposing corporations making robots _from_ their pictures, and profitting over said robots while simultaneously aiming to drive the original artists off the market.
The attitude "if you don't want your book to be plagiarized then you shouldn't have published it" is insane, so why is internet any different?
