@JohnJones-f2g I was thinking of agentic reasoning. It was a side product (when they were testing gpt 2) when they asked ai to do a complex task in a minimum tokens as possible it made up it's own symbols it was decided that the potential efficiency wasn't worth not reading it's thoughts but as models platue it seems more likely.
