Good points. I think a lot of people might be learning languages to wow other people like we see in the most popular polyglot channels. Picking up a language has lost most of its appeal of connecting with other humans but more towards impressing other humans.
There is a disconnect between people, especially in our modern era, that needs to be repaired and AI is making it harder to do that repair work unfortunately.
