Yes, animals do have ethics. Most of them don't go for cannibalism in their nature. And some animals do exhibit self-awareness.
And you misunderstand, I am not claiming AI now are self-aware. I am saying this WILL be an eventuality. In fact, even I'm shocked that it develop way sooner far beyond what I expected.
My grandfather, at my age, was dealing with cows and farm. He is still alive at 94 and still get to reach where we are talking about this in an internet. Where, I can talk to him thousand of miles away.
AI is in its infancy. YET, it has beaten world champions. See Deep Mind beating World Champions. ChatGpt can do most writing better than anyone in seconds.
The only difference now is that, as we know, AI has not realized its own existence yet. That's where we can agree. But who knows in the future?
