@crmd5336 no. Generators only transform data like any other program. They don't mimic any intelligent behavior. Being able to generate something isn't an intelligent behavior. Programs have been doing that for ages. There are plenty of procedural generation algorithms, mathematical generation, like fractals, etc. There are lots of algorithms that can generate all sorts of things. The only fundamental difference between recent generative programs is that they make use of a "neural-network" which is a mathematical algorithm (it's basically a Tensor) for transforming data. If generators/transformers were AI then every program on earth is AI, because every program transforms data in some way and produces some kind of output.
LLMs are AI because they mimic the ability of having a conversation and of understanding language. That's what makes them AI.
