The issue is we aren't relying on companies to make them 100%. Me as an individual I have made my own AI model (not for generating in this case but for image detection) and I mean it took a team of about 10-15 people to make the model but the rest of it is all online open source and pretty straight forward to anyone. We are no longer relying on only companies for AI as you can spin it up on basically any computer (depending on parameter size of model) within a couple of minutes and make a model within a couple of weeks.
