This definition of art has the same problem people had with photography when it first appeared. They said it wasn’t art because “the machine does the work.” Now photography is obviously considered art because the human still chooses the subject, framing, timing, and editing.
AI works the same way. A person still decides the idea, the prompts, the iterations, and the final selection. The tool changed, but the human intention did not disappear.
If a photograph of a sunset counts as art even though a camera captured it, it is hard to argue that a human intentionally generating an image with a different tool suddenly stops being art.
