I don't think that's quite right, it's more that super-intelligence is a problem we have reached in some fringe cases and are approaching with others.
while "super-awareness" just isn't, it's something that hasn't been cracked. the models we have are pretty decent at pretending to be aware, but they are not aware at all. on a scale of 0-100 they are a zero with awareness.
it may be impossible to create an AI that is self-aware. we don't know yet. some people theorize it will happen but then what that would look like still depends on many many things. LLM's are complex, and are yet the hypothetical Self-Aware Artificial Super Intelligence would be so many times more complex.
