What? Online predators weren't around in the mid-2000s? They were everywhere. MySpace. Chat rooms. Blog sites. A nineteen-year-old tried to meet me in real life when I was 13 after we spoke on a chat room. This was around 2004. He sent me a d*** pic. Creeps have always been trying to capitalize on grooming unsupervised minors. It was not better back then in terms of safety.
Children should always have devices monitored because it's so easy for an adult (or AI) to manipulate young people.
