@Trojanstudios-y3d This is simply a false analogy. I love it when people say "but they said x would change our lives but it didn't", because it's so meaningless.
For every technology that failed to revolutionize, you have some counter-example which successfully did - the industrial revolution, touch screens, the car and hell, even self-service checkouts.
AI art and crypto currencies are fundamentally different. Why? Because the practical barrier to entry for crypto is immense. Even sending crypto is impractical, comes with time delays, wallet setups and fluctuating prices where its completely impratical for your local corner shop to accept payments in crypto - cash and credit cards are significantly easier.
AI art presents the exact opposite incentive structure - it's incredibly easy, intuitive, cheaper & easier to produce on a large scale. It's the superior option to comissioning or hiring artists, especially for small businesses and as the technology improves. Humans will always walk the path of least resistance and AI art happens to be that while already delivering extremely good results.
