Robot in future war is programmed to shoot anything in its patrol area. Area included a village or apartment tower that has not been evacuated. Civilians see their neighbors gunned down by robot, stay in basement to avoid drawing fire. Water and food run out. Everybody dies of thirst and starvation as robot calmly watches with unblinking sensors for the next "attack".
