Human extinction, or omnicide, is the permanent end of the human species, resulting from natural disasters (e.g., asteroid impact, supervolcanoes) or anthropogenic (human-caused) catastrophes like nuclear war or climate change. It represents the total, irreversible cessation of human life and civilization.
That's what I was thinking/assuming.
What is the alternative understanding of human extinction?
Extinction is the end of a species, in this case human. I just don't see it happening. I'd give a higher probability to asteroid impact causing it.
