An algorithm has no taste. It will accept, process, and integrate all data it's been fed. A human being can break down that data, read things like intent and inapiration, and ascribe value to different aspects of art for referencing. The fact that Nightshade works at all is a great bit of evidence for this too, because if I show a human being 10,000 pictures of firetrucks and call them cats, a human being won't forget what a cat is, but an AI will.
