@ezeepeezee I'm completely against biometrics and consumer DNA tests. We all know that companies abuse those. But I think that genome studies will be beneficial for us in the future. Most book/publications I've read were actually about genome studies rather than consumer DNA tests. In genome wide association studies, a part of the populations genomes are sequenced and matched with certain traits/diseases. Since it's a bunch of people and they don't associate any personally identifiable information with your genomic data, I think it's pretty safe. Often the databases containing these are public to help other universities/research organizations.
