@Yku30 I'd argue chess is a much different endeavour than human psychology. I don't think bringing up Chess specifically works well to provide an argument towards AI and the abstract. Chess is a game specifically with rationality built into it, and any subject dealing in the rational translates well into binary data (math, chemistry, game mechanics). Chess is specifically about which choices have the lowest margin for error after running millions of true/false scripts about which moves are optimal. It's specifically easier for chess because there are FINITE amounts of choices a player can make in a turn, that an AI could compute hundreds of turns above you. I think back when people said chess was solely a human endeavour, I think the people who said that just didn't understand how computers and logic subroutines work.
As far as what is convincing to the eye as far as the pursuit of art goes, AI can already produce amazing art. Many people will already think that it looks better than most art humans produce, but when juxtaposed with the highest of standards, people will see the holes, and this will be evident when further analyzing the fundamentals of art. The issue is that the English language (or any language for that matter) is inherently limited. Explaining things in words or pictures don't actually provide an accurate diagram as to how an AI could approach creating a piece of art. Even humans can't grasp the abstract unless they've experienced enough of LIVING to develop their own idea of it. Considering that a computer is comprised only numbers and syntax, its understanding of the abstract can only be relegated to citing dictionary definitions and the relevant literature. Do you think a computer can ever understand the key to happiness, or would it just paraphrase the accounts of random internet gurus?
However, on the surface level, if people are easily convinced of the quality of AI in entertainment, that's up to them. But I think when we discuss the highest standards of artistic ambition and emotional payoff (in the animation industry for example), AI on its own will never usurp human capabilities, and that is because the devils are all in the details. Whereas chess has limited options, the level of depth in art is unlimited and it requires the creativity and attention only a human can offer it.
