@axel3689 there are various types of neural networks, but all GPTs are indeed just autocomplete. They have an emergent mechanism of "storing" "facts", but it's nothing like the human brain.
Abusing the autocomplete functionality to create a chatbot is what created this toxic creature known as ChatGPT that constantly affirms everything you say ("excellent question", "you're absolutely right") until you trigger a policy violation, and rationalizes every random hallucination that it comes up with using more hallucinations.
