I think you give the 1% too much credit for understanding the impact of AI. The 1% are driven by "profit", at least that is the goal of capitalism. I am sure the 1% believe that capitalism will continue, even after all of the human robots are replaced by machine robots. I wonder, do the top leaders believe society will survive after the full impact of the AI paradigm shift is normalized into our society? Some are heading their bets, seeing the future and knowing it cannot be stopped.
