You can't copyright someone's face. And while AI does use other material to learn from it still makes it out of thin air. So outlawing something like this would be a huge slippery slope in regards to copyright laws and such and while people find it gross, the fact of the matter is that other then someone's feeling it's not really affecting much. People that make these deepfakes arnt using them to get back at an ex or fire People from jobs most of the time. They are just using it for themself. Same as people cutting a pic from a magazine and putting it on another body.
