@3denx there aren't any websites because obviously an AI made with stolen art is going to make more desireable art than one without and for cheaper. You know, because it's stolen. If these companies were outlawed, then AI would be more expensive, yes, but it would also stop it from subsisting on being a parasite to artists. You want to be an ethical AI artist today? Code an AI yourself or use some of the older stuff before AI was profitable off the labor of other people's work. Just understand how AI works well enough to not use anything that was fed stuff that's not fair-use, not bought from an artist, or not your own. If you can do that and still find success monitarily, then regular artists have nothing to complain about because doing that takes skill. And there's pleanty of proof of the harm cameras and photos caused, especially now. If it weren't for cameras, we wouldn't have nearly as much corn. My relationship life has a annoying blemish in it because I like to look at photos, shot with cameras, of women a little too much. There's an entire immoral industry, and I mince my words because of YouTube, sometimes with kids involved, that exists mostly because of cameras. The portrat industry take a huge hit from photography. Anyone could have a breathtaking image of the world with no effort. Privacy took a huge hit from cameras. Drones with cameras now fly around everywhere. The world would not look at all like it does today without cameras. As for back then when cameras were still new, people took pictures of other people's art for a profit maybe. Some newspapers complained about it here and there. There wasn't the internet where the technology is an ever present part of people's lives and anyone with a microphone could voice their concerns as easily. It's not exactly the same, but it is similar.
