@llbadventuresthe affirmation bias you refer to is pretty much the principle of what LLM’s are built on. To put very simply the bot reviews each word and what word follows, to find the most likely one to follow it. Like a sophisticated version of the good old T9 autocorrect on phones. It’s just adding more text. It’s an oversimplified explanation but it shows clearly that calling it „AI” (suggestive term that makes it appear to have agency/sentience) is simply wrong. Anyone trying to blame the gpt for this might as well try to sue the magic 8-ball.
