The movies like Terminator and AI don't make sense for one distinct reason. A super intelligent AI would be able to see how society works. In all those movies, humanity gets attacked because the AI sees humans as the destructive force that is destroying the world. A super intelligent AI however would recognize that the majority of humans are just trying to live decent lives while the super rich who want to own everything are trying to do so without caring about the damage that they do to the world or to society. We know that many smart phone apps are causing harm to our youth, it lowers their attention span, it causes depression because of the sheer amount of body comparison that our youth are exposed to, yet many of the big companies that create social media and smart phone apps hire psychologists to help them find ways to keep youth glued to their phones. If AI were ever to go to war, it wouldn't be with humans in general. It would be with the super rich who created them solely for profit but who are destroying the world we live in.
