@majorlazer21 The question really isn’t whether the car can drive in those conditions, for robotaxis the question is what a company will accept liability for and what risk they will assume. All of us individuals have our own risk profiles and what we will and won’t accept when behind the wheel, and that risk profile is likely quite different when talking about a company pursuing profits while behind the wheel of dozens, hundreds, thousands, or millions of vehicles doing things for which they are responsible.
But LiDAR also cannot handle these conditions, there’s a reason all these robotaxi companies including Waymo are operating in arid states / cities.
