A chatbot that generates human-like responses is not going to take everyone’s job. Only idiots who have never worked a real job in their life would say that. The kind of people that write emails and go to “business lunches,” and leech off the labor of those more skilled & talented than them for a living.
Maybe a chatbot that generates emails puts YOU out of the job, but not most people that actually perform an entropy reducing role that produces something of value for others. You can automate the menial & repetitive parts of production & service with technology. But, they still require people skilled & knowledgable in the production to build & maintain those systems (systems that are NOT LLMs).
You can never fully take the human being out of the productive process as Value does not create itself from thin air and fall into our hands. Computation cannot perform judgement or reserve entropy in its own.
