@aazzll-y7r Yes, surely it is always better to do an entire piece on your own, as the level of creative control and vision is not sacrificed even a single iota that way. Every stroke is wholly and entirely you.
With regard to artists using AI to help speed their creative process along, the question really is how much of that ethereal, immeasurable human uniqueness are you willing to sacrifice, to save time?
Me personally, ive started using AI to brainstorm concepts and see generally what a character might look like. Now, maybe that does corrupt my vision of what a character may look like otherwise? I cannot say for sure. All i know is that i would never let the computer do everything for me.
That said, i do appreciate when the thing spits out something i wasn’t expecting at all, that perhaps takes the idea in directions i wouldn’t have gone otherwise.
I think AI does have a place in the creative process. It just shouldn’t *replace the creative process.
