@kxuydhjAs someone with a disability myself, I still prefer regular references even though I get bogged down in detail and have a lot of trouble choosing what to bring from a reference. Being able to identify what you do and don't need to draw in a reference is a skill that I myself need to practice, but I want to practice it. I want to be the one who decides what stays and what does not. If I want a low detail reference, then I may start with background elements from comics which are often low detail due to size and time constraints. Somewhatvoff-topic: I am often reminded of the man who could not use his hands to draw and so used a typewriter to ink page by page to paint. Not everyone has the functionality to do even that much I realize, but it inspires me to try. We can agree to disagree on the point of AI refrences. I had a terrible time finding good assets/references on search engines until I filtered out AI reference/art websites. My patience ran out on trying to even filter the websites though, so I went to a sprite resource site to find the tile (megaman 8 junkman scrap) and find it there. Maybe that is why I am in particular not excited about AI as reference material. If everyone would just keep their references to themselves I guess I would not care how the sausage is made.
