Ghibli's character artwork is not the hottest thing around. He can't draw a female to save his life. Excellent backgrounds, music, direction, storytelling, and the like, but a lot of his characters have a "sameness" which is akin to the "bean mouth" abuse issue. I welcome anyone able to innovate in that respect, I'd love to see an AI re-treatment of some of the classic Ghibli films. No sacred cows.
