The self awareness problem of AI is solvable, and the fact that it's solvable is the scary part. I don't think any sane person would cross that line if they new how, and I am confident that many know how... But in a world of 9 billion people and not all have high ethical standards.. Or even an unsuspecting dev that asks AI to solve it's own self awareness problem and , well its a new story in history from then on.
