It has been predicted over 50-years ago way back when the first paper of AI theory was published in fact. The problem with UBI is that it creates a neo-feudalist monarcy, where there are two classes of people: The superrich capital class who can do whatever they want with the universe and the 99% of population who will live in absolute powerty.
The super rich will have no incentive to keep funding the majority of super poor/homeless, which means they have an incentive for degrowth of the population eventually. Ecologically maybe that is a good thing, depends how the super rich will consume. But for the majority of the population it will get very ugly and akin to slavery.
