I think ai “art” completely negates what makes art art. If you just click a couple buttons telling a robot to “do this, do that” there won’t be any real emotion or soul put into it. As an artist myself I sometimes like to use art as a coping mechanism or to vent my feelings, and telling a robot to do it for me would completely take away the emotion, the hard work put into it, and the whole meaning of the art piece. I also think ai art looks about as good as ai music sounds. For example, the ai will just steal an art style from some random artist online, strip away everything that gives it feeling and boom, there you go. Ai music is kinda the same thing, it just takes a genre, strips the emotion and then bam, done.
I’m not trying to start an argument or change your opinion about anything. I just want to give my standpoint on ai art. Which to sum it up, isn’t real art because there isn’t any emotion behind it.
