I dont think people like AI art because its 'pretty'. But It's basically the fast food version of art. Not to mention I play dnd and I like to have art for my characters I can either 1. Pay an artist to draw my character and wait for it for a few hours to days or 2. Have Ai generate a few dozen variations of my idea in a few seconds all for free. I mean to the average person like myself who isn't artistic, AI art is obviously the better option of the two. I'm not saying ai art is better then human in terms of visual aesthetics but human artist just have absolutely no hope in competing with ai art in terms of convenience, im mean compare fine dining to fast food places, its a proven model that fast and cheap will always win out over refined and expensive. Now I dont support going around and pretending like you're the one who made the art and then try to sell it. But it's the internet shitty stuff is bound to happen on the internet.
