Elon has historically been in favor of regulations in the digital arena, but not in other industries. And that is my point. Why would one of the world's richest men, and owner of innovative companies that flourished with minimal regs in other industries, be calling for MORE regs in AI?
Not to mention the fact the my original comment suggested that this was a "group of people", not just Elon. Conservatives are by-and-large uncomfortable with the recent developments on the AI industry. Facial recognition software, chat GPT, the replacement of jobs.
