I largely agree with the bulk of what you said but I do take issue with the bit about the Turing Test. While I do believe we've been moving the goalposts and inventing other tests, I do believe in the validity of those tests and not Turing's, because the Turing test examines the intelligence of the questioner, not the capacity of the AI. If you've ever seen Rainbolt play Geoguessr where he can figure out where he is in the world within 100 miles after seeing it for literally 1 second, then you better believe there are people out there that either masters at communication and body language or literary professors or computer nerds that can tell the nuance between the humans and machines, even with ChatGPT.
