​@ahtoshkaaIn their paper, the have shown that autocaptioning images instead of using the existing metadata has very little impact on the poisoning attack. For that you need to understand that alightment and image generation models are designed and trained for different tasks and thus do not always match up, especially in a targeted attack like this. While there is probably a way to train a model specifically designed to filter out poisoned data, at that point, it becomes a cat and mouse game and even throwing a small wrench into large AI companies endeavours is kinda nice.
