@neonhalos I know, that it's not the same system. But, correct me if I'm wrong, it's still the same type. It's still a neural network, the only difference it's trained on different data and has different outputs. While it looks different, it's still the same mechanism. I also didn't want to say, her critque of AI is bad, it's clear that she only refers to image generators (although her criticism also applies to text generators, like chatgpt), only that it's disappointing most people only think of these when talking about AI. Fun fact there's also helpful generative AI that generates protein structures we could use in medicine.
